Announcements

Greetings from the Prez . . .

The annual Blue & Gold Wounded in Service Award Banquet was well received. The Blue & Gold Banquet honors the men and women in our local police, sheriff's and highway patrol that were injured or killed in the line of duty. This year we had about 120 attendees celebrating the fact that there were no serious injuries. The Exchange Club did present three awards for bravery to officers that pulled civilians out of burning cars. Thankfully none of them suffered serious injuries, but their valor still deserved recognition. Thank you to everyone for your assistance, participation and support.

We have some exciting speakers lined up in the next couple of weeks, so be sure to bring your guests. Remember, the Exchangite who enrolls the most new members during my term will earn a dinner for two at the Capital Club. Consider relatives, associates in other organizations, customers, clients, business colleagues, vendors and suppliers, neighbors (old and new), close friend, past Exchangites. What better way to show your appreciation and respect for someone than to invite them to join a club that you enjoy so much.

Covenant of Service

Accepting the divine privilege, of single and collective responsibility as life's noblest gift, I covenant with my fellow Exchangites:

To consecrate my best energies to the uplifting of Social, Religious, Political and Business ideals;

To discharge the debt I owe to those of high and low estate who have served and sacrificed that the heritage of American citizenship might be mine;

To honor and respect law, to serve my fellow men, and to uphold the ideals and institutions of my Country;

To implant the life-giving, society-building spirit of Service and Comradeship in my social and business relationships;

To better serve in Unity with those seeking better conditions, better understanding and greater opportunities for all.
