CINDY HENDRICKSON from the Office of the District Attorney gave a wonderful presentation regarding the prevention and prosecution of Elder Abuse cases. Ms. Hendrickson handles the fraud claims for the D.A.'s office. She encouraged people should pay attention to what happens to elder people in their neighborhoods and families. Experts say elder financial abuse will be the "crime of the 21st century" as our senior population increases. If you suspect you, or someone you know, has been the victim of elder abuse, contact Adult Protective Services of Santa Clara County at 408-928-3860.
Who do you want to be our next President-elect? Are you interested in being Secretary or Treasurer? The elections will take place later this month.

eScrip: Many people are not aware that they can help the San Jose Exchange Club fight child abuse and earn money simply by doing their ordinary shopping. Here's how it works: eScrip and partner merchants have created a system that rewards customer loyalty by donating a percentage of purchases to a chosen group. Fundraising coordinators encourage parents, teachers, friends and families to register their credit/debit cards with the eScrip program. Upon registration, a percentage of all purchases made with eScrip merchants will be given back to the designated school or the organization. It's that simple!
The California-Nevada District Exchange Club is a registered group. The ID is 141589329. Visit www.escrip.com today and help our club help others.
