The Next Cioppino Planning Committee Meeting will be next Tuesday, April 15th, at 11:30 a.m. We will meet at our regular location for our Tuesday lunch meeting. At the next regular meeting, I will pass around the sign up sheet for the Cioppino Helpers. Every member is expected to fill in a couple of slots. We need people to help set up, take tickets, prepare food, clean up, etc. A copy of the available jobs and times can be downloaded at: http://www.sjexchangeclub.com/CioppinoHelpers.html
DON'T FORGET: THERE WILL BE A PRIZE FOR THE MOST TICKETS SOLD BY AN S.J. EXCHANGITE! That's right. Sell those tickets for a chance to win a special prize. Good luck to all.
This year's special GetAway raffle winner will receive two tickets for a Champagne Brunch aboard the Napa Valley Wine Train. Raffle tickets are only $10.00, for a prize worth about $120.00.
Jeanne Wun and her associates from Hospice of the Valley gave a very moving presentation about the services they offer. Hospice of the Valley is the oldest non-profit, public benefit hospice in Santa Clara County. It has provided compassionate end-of-life care and bereavement support to over 20,000 people since 1979. For more information, contact Hospice of the Valley at (408) 947-1233 or visit them on the web at http://www.hospicevalley.org.
Who do you want to be our next President-elect? Are you interested in being Secretary or Treasurer? The elections will take place later this month.

eScrip: Many people are not aware that they can help the San Jose Exchange Club fight child abuse and earn money simply by doing their ordinary shopping. Here's how it works: eScrip and partner merchants have created a system that rewards customer loyalty by donating a percentage of purchases to a chosen group. Fundraising coordinators encourage parents, teachers, friends and families to register their credit/debit cards with the eScrip program. Upon registration, a percentage of all purchases made with eScrip merchants will be given back to the designated school or the organization. It's that simple!
The California-Nevada District Exchange Club is a registered group. The ID is 141589329. Visit www.escrip.com today and help our club help others.
Covenant of Service
Accepting the divine privilege, of single and collective responsibility as life's noblest gift, I covenant with my fellow Exchangites:
To consecrate my best energies to the uplifting of Social, Religious, Political and Business ideals;
To discharge the debt I owe to those of high and low estate who have served and sacrificed that the heritage of American citizenship might be mine;
To honor and respect law, to serve my fellow men, and to uphold the ideals and institutions of my Country;
To implant the life-giving, society-building spirit of Service and Comradeship in my social and business relationships;
To better serve in Unity with those seeking better conditions, better understanding and greater opportunities for all.
