CIOPPINO NIGHT IS NEXT FRIDAY!!

Rob Nuddleman has the tickets for the Cioppino Night. Members are expected to sell at least one table. The member who sells the most tables will get a special prize. Steve Radunich is already on his way - HE HAS SOLD 6 TABLES ALREADY!

Tickets are $35.00 per person or a table of 8 for $245.00 (that's 8 for the price of 7). Just let Rob know how many tickets you want to take. Once you sell the tickets, give the money to Rob. If you don't sell the tickets Rob gives you, you must return the tickets to Rob. Tickets can be held at the door (Will-Call) for people that pay for their tickets in advance. People will also be able to purchase tickets at the door, but they may be more expensive.

We have some great raffle prizes and silent auction items this year. We are also DOUBLING THE CRAB!! Rob will have flyers at the next meeting that members can take and distribute or display.

CALLING ALL POTS . . . It looks like we're going to have a full house this year so we need 25 pots. These are the pots in which we serve the Cioppino to our guests. Pull 'em out an bring 'em in, because we need as many as we can get!

BRING A GUEST CONTEST

Enjoy a panoramic view of Silicon Valley from the 17th Floor of the Fairmont Plaza Building while dining at the Club's 4 Star restaurant! But you have to play to win by joining our membership drive contest called "Bring a Guest Contest."

Starting May 1, and continuing through July 31, Dave Mowbray will keep a tally of all members who bring guests who are prospective members to every meeting. He's going to keep score. The idea is that if we bring a guest, its up to the club as a whole to sell the guest on the idea of joining Exchange. To count towards the contest, the guest must be a prospect for membership. Dave has the responsibility of making this determination before tallying the results at each meeting. He will also announce each member's standings in the competition each week. At the end of the contest, Dave will announce the winner who has brought the most prospects to regular meetings. The winner will receive a dinner for two at the luxurious Silicon Valley Capital Club.

Join the Fun, Bring a Guest.

Get ready for the Exchange Club Social . .

Exchange Club Social tentatively planned for May 23 at New Almaden Valley Quicksilver Mines Park. A van excursion throughout the wonderful hiking trails, see old ruins, ghost town, old school house, abandoned mines, and enjoy a picnic lunch.

Cost $5.00 plus what you bring to eat and drink. Lots of picnic area. Exact time to be announced.

The meeting speaker May 18 will be from the Park and will tell us all about what we're going to see. Call Lynda Brown for more details.

Wanna Rock-N-Roll?

Phil Griego's band, Off the Record, which is playing at our annual Cioppino Night, is also playing a gig at the Park Plaza Hotel's Bamboo Lounge on May 21st. Bring a friend and help support your fellow exchangite!

Accepting the divine privilege, of single and collective responsibility as life's noblest gift, I covenant with my fellow Exchangites:

To consecrate my best energies to the uplifting of Social, Religious, Political and Business ideals;

To discharge the debt I owe to those of high and low estate who have served and sacrificed that the heritage of American citizenship might be mine;

To honor and respect law, to serve my fellow men, and to uphold the ideals and institutions of my Country;

To implant the life-giving, society-building spirit of Service and Comradeship in my social and business relationships;

To better serve in Unity with those seeking better conditions, better understanding and greater opportunities for all.

OFFICER ELECTIONS

Pursuant to Article VIII of our club by-laws, The nominating committee (Jerry Hall, Lynda Brown, Phil Griego, and Dan Webb) presents the following nominations for our annual election of officers. Additional Candidates may be nominated from the floor. All officers and directors shall be chosen by ballot except when nominations are unopposed when only a voice vote is needed to elect. A majority of all votes cast shall be necessary for the election of an officer or other member of the Board of Directors.

President-Elect Steve Radunich

The President-Elect serves for a one year period from July 1, to June 30 of the following year. He then assumes the office of President for a one year term and then serves another year as Immediate Past president.

Secretary-Treasurer Robert Nuddleman

Serves a term of one year and handles duties too numerous to mention here.

Director 1 2004-2006 Phil Griego
Director 2 2004-2006 Roger Brandon

The directors administer the clubs activities for a two year term. Lynda Brown has one more year of her 2003-2005 term.
Jerry's term as President ends June 30. He then automatically assumes the office of Immediate past President. Phil's term as Immediate Past President ends June 30, freeing him to run for election as a director.

Our Current office of President Elect, who is supposed to assume office as President July 1, is vacant due to the unexpected resignation of Jennifer Patrick last year. Dan has agreed to accept the Board's decision to appoint him to the fill that vacancy so that he will then assume the office of President for the 2004 - 2005 term.

This completes the Committees task. We heartily recommend this slate of candidates as they will provide strong leadership for the next three years and beyond.
