A Word from Our President

A letter from the President:

Welcome to our website! Thanks for taking the time to explore the activities of the Exchange Club of San Jose. We are a downtown community service club that meets for lunch at the Hyatt Saint Claire, at 12:15 P.M. As one of the oldest service clubs in America, we are proud to report that we are also one of the most active in our community. Our meetings have an informal social atmosphere, but we are very dedicated to our programs of service.

Our projects fall within three categories: a Youth Program, a Community Service Program, and programs to promote Americanism and Patriotism within our community. Our national project is dedicated to the Prevention of Child Abuse.

Some of the benefits of membership in the Exchange Club of San Jose are:

• Enable you to help children in need, through the Dear Santa, Sunshine Specials and the ARC Christmas Party projects;
• Enable you to express community pride in the professional efforts of the law enforcement officers of our local Police, Sheriffs and CHP departments through the Blue and Gold Wounded in Service Awards Banquet project;
• Enable you to promote Americanism and better citizenship through the Freedom Shrine, the Young Citizenship projects and the Giveakidaflagtowave project;
• Enable you to mentor community service among high school students, through the Junior Exchange Club project.
  

Our broad program of service will provide you the opportunity to truly make a difference in your community, and to work with fun, dedicated people in the process.

Volunteerism and community service is an honorable passion. I hope you will choose to pursue it through membership in the San Jose Exchange Club!
